Halloween Is Coming!

Halloween is coming! It's time to scare yourself and this is the month to do it. The air is tinged with the promise of cooler weather! Our upper 90 degree weather has finally dropped to the 70s and I'm thrilled to have the break.
I think this has been the hottest summer I can recall and parts of my garden suffered. My bean plants didn't produce due to the heat but as soon as the temps dropped to 90 degrees, they started producing their hearts out. I could certainly understand their reluctance to do anything in the heat. (g)
The leaves will soon turn brilliant colors and pumpkins fields will be opened for eager buyers ready to carve out a Jack-O-Lantern. It's just one of many traditions this time of year ushers in. Ahh… I want to soak it all in. Smell crisp fall air tinged with woodsmoke and listen to the change in the sounds around me.
Tradition is comforting and gives me a sense of belonging and a feeling of continuity in life. There's a sense of permanence that I know deep down is just an illusion, but that's part of the mystique of life. Besides, celebrations like Halloween just make life more interesting and fun, not that I need an entire holiday as an excuse to have fun!
So grab some fun this month, whatever your cup of tea, hot chocolate or coffee blend and enjoy the changing of the seasons. Happy Halloween!

Halloween = Sex + Candy

It's almost Halloween, the perfect time of year. When else do you get to dress up as a fantasy and eat free candy 'til you tummy aches. Sex and chocolate, yeah baby!

For one day (several if you go to a few Halloween parties) we get to be someone else. Put on a sexy costume and mask, flirt with a vampire or super hero, perhaps do a bit of role playing. *G* Halloween is the best holiday ever!

I can't decided if I want to wear my cavewoman or witch costume. But I know no matter what I choose, it's going to be a blast to step outside myself for a night and be someone different!
